Mediterranean Islands

Well, guess what? I leave out a few regions of islands, and all the emails I get ask about those regions. You'd be surprised how many people want an island in Croatia. So here it is, folks: a page with islands offered by various realtors in the Med and the Adriatic. And who cares about rampant political instability, anyway?

Croatian Island (I don't know its name)

A smaller sized island in Croatia between the island of Pašman and National park of Kornati, this island occupies an area of 36,000 m^2, or around 9 acres. With maximum elevations of about 90 feet, the island bends around a central inlet. There are many scrubs and olive trees on the island, and it has a stone shore. It might surprise you, but this is the cheapest island that I could find in the entire Adriatic, at about USD$450,000.

Ligia Island, Greece

This private island in Greece is very near to the coast, allowing for fairly easy accessiblity once you get all the way to Greece. It may be developed, though the major problem with the sparkling blue seas in this picture is that fresh water will be very hard to produce. Still, not a bad price for a Greek island of about 30 acres. (It's the smaller island in the photograph above.) No longer on the market. I'll be updating this page soon with a new selection of Mediterranean Islands.
